Kids’ Bike Trade-Up Program
Kids grow quickly, and we often see parents trying to purchase a bike with room for their child to grow into. This can be both unsafe and unenjoyable for the rider until the bicycle fits properly. To encourage parents to buy the proper size from the start, and to continue to do so as their child grows, we have developed a Trade-Up Program to help offset the cost of each new bicycle.
Purchase any new qualifying kids’ bike for a rider under 16 years of age, and if they outgrow that bike within 4 years, we’ll offer a trade-in credit (a percentage of the original base cost of the trade-in bike minus necessary repairs) toward a new bike for the same child.
Terms & Conditions
1. Trade-Up Program is valid only for the original purchaser and the same child the bike was originally purchased for. Purchaser must present a receipt showing the date of purchase and the original cost of the bike being considered for trade-in.
2. Trade-in credit cannot be greater than the base cost of the new bike.
3. Trade-in bike and components must be in good working condition and not damaged or worn beyond repair.
4. Trade-Up Program does not apply to damaged or abused bikes, bikes purchased elsewhere, or bikes purchased more than four years ago.
Trade-In Values*
60% if purchased less than one year ago (<1 year ago).
50% if purchased between 1 & 2 years ago (>= 1 year ago, <2 years ago).
40% if purchased between 2 & 3 years ago (>=2 years ago, <3 years ago).
30% if purchased between 3 & 4 years ago (>=3 years ago, <4 years ago).
*Trade-in value is a percentage of the original base cost of the bike not including taxes, assembly, or other fees. The final trade-in credit will be this percentage minus the cost of repairs necessary to bring the bike up to our standards for sale and any loss of value due to major cosmetic damage.
